Banks located on both campuses include Woori Bank and the Post Office Banking Service. To open an account at Woori Bank and Post Office, students will need to bring the documents which each bank requires, including their Alien Registration Card, passport. Automatic Teller Machines for Woori Bank and other banks are located across the campus. Additionally, Student ID Cards, as previously stated, contain a cash card function for Woori Bank.


As a foreigner in Korea, you can open a bank account here as follows:
1. Bring your passport to the bank.
2. Take a numbering ticket from the machine and wait for your number to appear on display.
3. Go to the designated teller and fill out the appropriate form to open a bank account.
4. Decide on your four digit PIN number and memorize it.
5. It is advisable to ask for a cash card or check card.
Cash card
A card that you can withdraw or put money to the machines without bank account book.
Check card
A card used by a purchase to directly transfer the price of purchases from the account to the retailers. If there is not enough cash in the bank account, you can't use the check card.
Banking Hours
Available from 9:30AM to 4:40PM, Monday to Friday. When the bank is closed, you can use an ATM Machine.
Using an ATM in Korea
You can withdraw and deposit money using ATM Machines with your card. Each bank has slightly different machines, but the major functions are the same. Most machines have an option to select English.
Commission will differ by bank and time of use, but averages around 500~2000won.
