School of Economics
The two sciences which form the School of Economics, namely the fields of economics and statistics are closely interrelated in the development and practical application of this science. The basis of this is that the objectification of economics has improved the accuracy of positive analysis, of which the foundation is statistics. Therefore working in both economics and statistics within the School of Economics restores the feedback effect between the two sciences and improve the quality of the lecture and research. It is the most logical way of reaching the education goal of producing practical human resources needed in the modern industrial society.

Many faculty served as Economic Aide to the President of Korea and governmental council members.

Top 1~2 % of high school graduates for Departments of Economics and Statistics
Top 0.1~1% of high school graduates for Global Economics Departments, Dual Degree Program with University of Indiana, Department of Economics, many Courses taught in English.
Most of graduates serve in Korean government departments, the Bank of Korea, securities companies or insurance companies or accounting firms.
40% of the students in the Master's Program of Foreign Trade come from foreign countries.

Research Funding
Graduate students of the Department of Economics have received Brain Korea 21 Grant from the Korean government. (4 million USD equivalent for 1999-2005, 6.5 million USD equivalent for 2006-2012)
