A Charity Angel from Finland, Shared Her Warm-hearted Spirit

Myungryun Dormitory (Humanities and Social Science Campus, Director Donghee Park) announced that Fiia Ester Synnoeve Sandqvist, an exchange student of fashion design department came from Finland, donated about 100 masks to G-house where she stays on July 2 (Thur).

Fiia, who was interested in East-Asia, came to SKKU a year ago. She asked the dormitory if she can donate the masks to other students because she thought it would be great to share masks sent by her mother from Finland.

Fiia said, “All of this semester’s lectures were online, so I could take them at any time I wanted.” She also mentioned, “I was able to study safely in the dormitory despite the COVID-19” and expressed appreciation. She is going to return to Finland on July 4 (Sat).

A staff of Myungryun dormitory, Sara Jung said, “I was encouraged by the warm people around me who donate masks. And I was touched by Fiia’s humble attitude because she thought donations were nothing.”

The dormitory administration office plans to deliver the donated masks to foreign students and dorm’s securities and janitors.
