Successfully Completed <Digital Health Hackathon 2020> Held by SAIHST
A <Digital Health Hackathon 2020> was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SAIHST’s opening on September 12 and was successfully completed. This event was co-organized by Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences & Technology (SAIHST), Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center Digital Healthcare Partners and Samsung Medical Center, and was supported by Seoul Metropolitan City, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Seoul Biohub, Naver D2SF, Huray Positive, and Medical IP.
To commemorate SAIHST’s 10th anniversary, the event was held with the theme of ‘Dreaming of a new start in changing health care’. This event was divided into two tracks; a business tract to test possibilities by implementing ideas that can be started up and an AI development track to develop a drug treatment decision-making AI (Artificial Intelligence) model for rare cancers.
The <Digital Health Hackathon> is a medical hackathon competition that began with the aim of solving various problems in the medical field through digital technology and it’s the fifth event this year. In particular, due to the COVID-19, all the process except the award ceremony were conducted online. At the award ceremony, only presenters and winners attended and it was simultaneously broadcast live over the YouTube and Facebook.
