Sungkyunkwan University’s SKK GSB (Graduate School of Business) and 3M Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 21st to establish a cooperative relationship and to promote sustainable development. Eric Shih, Dean of SKK GSB, and James E. Falteisek, Managing Director of 3M, attended the signing ceremony.

3M will provide SKK GSB with the support necessary for SKK GSB’s Applied Business Projects (ABP) where SKK GSB Full-time MBA and MS Business Analytics students will act as professional student consultants to provide solutions to business problems identified by 3M. The ABP course provides a forum in which students apply concepts, methods, and analytical skills learned in the classroom to develop innovative solutions to modern organizational challenges under the supervision of faculty. The program will kick-off this Fall with business analytics projects where students will provide data-driven solutions and a fresh analytical perspective to 3M management.

SKK GSB has been No. 1 in Korea for 10 consecutive years in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings. Over 70% of faculty and 50% of Full-Time MBA students are international, and the courses are conducted 100% in English. As a multinational corporation, 3M matches SKK GSB well for this partnership. Through this agreement, 3M and SKK GSB will continue to seek ongoing collaboration opportunities including summer internships for mutual benefit.
