A Joint Seminar with Prof. Kinder (University of Tübingen, Germany)
and Prof. Heejung Jun (Department of Public Administration)
On Sep. 30 (Fri), Prof. Heejung Jun (Department of Public Administration) held a special joint seminar with students from the Department of Geography (advisor Prof. Seastian Kinder) at the University of Tübingen in Germany in the Urban Administration class. In this seminar, students from Padjadjaran University in Indonesia also participated in the seminar online in connection with the Korea Foundation (KF) program.
Prof. Jun and Prof. Kinder gave presentations on the development history, urban problems, and policy measures of German and Korean cities, and students discussed urban problems in the two countries based on the presentation.
Prof. Jun said, “Students from 3 countries, Korea, Germany, and Indonesia had time to understand the different urban environments and discuss common urban problems and discriminatory urban problems according to the characteristics of the country. This was a meaningful time in that it was more than just an academic exchange.”
