10,000 masks were donated consecutively by a Chinese student’s parents and Nanyang Institute of Technology in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Zhang Jiantao donated 10,000 masks on April 9th (Thursday). Zhang Jiantao’s child is a Chinese student studying at our own university’s College of Economics. Donation was made anonymously under the child’s name. Zhang Jiantao stated, “I decided to make the donations out of thanks to the Korean government who helped out China when she was suffering from Covid-19.”

“I hope Korean citizens can quickly come over Covid-19 and get back to their normal lives.”

Successively on April 13th (Monday), 10,000 masks were donated from Nanyang Institute of Technology. This donation was led by College of Software Professor Emeritus Hwang Daejun and these masks will go to our own university’s members’ health. Last year December, Nanyang Institute of Technology president’s party visited our university and decided a partnership with our university. Nanyang Institute of Technology has donated 10,000 masks to both SKKU and Kyungnam University.
