Prof. Yang-Hee Lee Gives a Lecture on JTBC’s Differential Class 



Professor Yang-Hee Lee of Department of Child Psychology and Education (Former UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar) will give a lecture on JTBC’s Differential Class with the theme of “Can Myanmar’s Spring Come?” at 10:30 p.m. on May 27 (Thur).

After serving as a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, she served as a chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child under the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, she has been working for 10 years since the founding of the International Center for Human Rights for Children (InCRD).


Professor Lee was appointed as a special rapporteur of the UN on the situation of human rights in Myanmar since 2014 to 2020. She is highly recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise in human rights. Following the outbreak of Myanmar’s coup, she formed the Myanmar Special Advisory Council for Myanmar (SAC-M) in early March this year, serving as a member and a channel to covey the voices of Myanmar activists to the world.
