Professor Soongho UM (Dept. of Chemical Engineering) and Professor Myungjoo AHN (School of Medicine)’s research team announced that they have discovered a method to significantly improve the diagnosis of lung cancer. The previous method was expensive and took 3 weeks for diagnosis. With the discovery, the cancer can be diagnosed at an inexpensive cost within just 3 hours. This research was conducted under the auspice of Ministry of Health and Welfare and it has been selected as the cover for world-renowned journal ‘Advanced Biosystems’ on June 14th.
