SUNGKYUNKWAN UNIVERSITY (SKKU), SEOUL, KOREA

Of the six fields evaluated by Times Higher Education's (THE) 2015 Ranking by Field of Study, Sungkyunkwan University had three fields, Medicine, Engineering, and Natural Science (Physics) placed in the TOP 100 which was surpassed in Korea only by Seoul National University (SNU) which had four (Medicine, Bioscience, Physics, Engineering). POSTECH also had three, KAIST had two, and Korea University had one field put in the top 100 ranking.

When QS announced its subject rankings for 2015 in April, fifteen departments made it into the top 100 which is up from eleven the previous year. Furthermore, this year twenty-six were placed in the top 200 compared to seventeen last year. The announcement by THE shows how SKKU's fields of study are continuing to advance and gain prestige.
