한국 국가발전의 원동력이 되었던 새마을운동은 이제 국가적 브랜드로 자리 잡아 전 세계적으로 국가경제성장의 동력으로 인식되어 저개발 국가들이 새마을운동중앙연수원에서 새마을운동을 배워가고 있습니다. 이에 우리 연수원에서는 외국인유학생들에게도 새마을운동에 대한 이해를 돕고 국가발전의 지도자로서 사명감을 높이기 위해 「외국인 유학생새마을 교육」 교육과정을 마련하였습니다. 국가의 발전을 생각하고 새마을운동에 대해 관심이 많은 유학생들의 적극적인 참여를 바랍니다.

2014-1 Saemaul Training for Foreign Students in Korea

As the driving force of Korea’s modernization, Saemaul Undong(SMU) has been recommended by the United Nations(UN) as the development model to overcome poverty. There have been continuous requests from many underdeveloped countries to share the SMU development experience. 

Under these circumstances, the Saemaul Undong Central Training Institute(SUCTI) is planning to conduct a Saemaul training program for foreign students studying in Korea, so that these students will learn to become competent leaders of their countries. 

We would greatly appreciate your cooperation in publicizing this training program to the foreign students studying in your university to help more students enjoy the opportunity to participate in this Saemaul training program. 



Program Description

1. Prospective Students 
    : Foreign students from developing countries as categorized by the United Nations.

2. Required Language : Korean or English 

3. Training Period
    : June. 26(Thur) 12:00pm ？ June. 28(Sat)13:00pm 2 days, 1 night overnight training program

4. Training Venue 
    : Saemaul Undong Central Training Institute, Grand Auditorium

    : Saemaul Undong Lectures, Panel Discussion Session, Group Discussion Sessions, Video Presentations, Saemaul Museum Tour
