President Ji-beom Yoo, "Leading the Transition to Lifelong Education Platform in Universities"

Interview in the July issue of Monthly HRD Magazine 2023

In an interview with the human resources development and education specialist magazine, Monthly HRD, President Ji-beom Yoo expressed his aspiration to contribute to the global and local communities by sharing the knowledge accumulated in universities in line with the digital transformation.

During the interview held on June 19th, President Yoo introduced our university's employee training program and explained that as a result of efforts to strengthen the administrative expertise of employees, the program has achieved the Best HRD Public Sector certification awarded by the Ministry of Education and the Personnel Innovation Agency for six consecutive times from 2006 to 2021.

In particular, he emphasized the social role of universities in responding to rapidly changing social changes, such as the impending demographic cliff, the sustained low-growth trend, and the emergence of generative AI, such as ChatGPT.

President Yoo stated, "Universities should perform the role of a 'lifelong education platform' that allows anyone to easily access educational content and thereby practice knowledge sharing and contribute to the global and local communities."
