The Start-up Support Foundation was founded in December of 2015 to provide systematic support for the technology start-up endeavors of students and the general public with the mission of promoting global entrepreneurial activities and has been in effect since the university's selection as a leading University for start-ups by the Small and Medium Business Administration and Korea Institute of Start-up and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED).
SKKU offers excellent start-up assistance for students and entrepreneurs in the making, including entrepreneurship education and start-up item search to commercialization. The University also provides follow-up support using its specialized start-up support model. It is dedicated to acting as a "University Start-up Hub" and serves as a core facility for the promotion of convergence technology entrepreneurship and innovation.
