Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System (AICOSS) Holds the 5th AI Industry-Academia Cooperation Technology Exchange Meeting

-Kyungpook National University Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System and over 30 AI companies participated



The Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System (headed by Vice President Kim Jae-hyun of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus) hosted the 5th AI Industry-Academia Cooperation Technology Exchange Meeting on July 13th at Hoam Hall on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus of Kyungpook National University. The event was attended by the Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System and over 30 AI companies.


During this technology exchange meeting, universities and companies aimed to establish an AI industry-academia cooperation system, share matters concerning AI talent development in the industry-academia context, discuss current issues in AI education, and explore agendas to solve problems related to the AI requirements of the industry.


Furthermore, the meeting addressed various topics, including ▲AI companies' concerns, ▲reaching agreements on research directions between schools and companies, ▲specific measures for fostering AI talent, and ▲the diversity of AI in the industry. The meeting also proposed the establishment of an education network among Sungkyunkwan University, Kyungpook National University, and AI companies to enhance talent development. Presentations were given by Professor Kim Il-kyung from Kyungpook National University, who introduced the role of the Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System in the Daegu-Kyungpook ICT Cluster, and ▲Park No-heon, CEO of Starcell, who presented AI education solutions through Kubernetes and Kubeflow.


Vice President Kim Jae-hyun stated, 'Through this event, we can make new attempts in AI education and talent development within the university. By collaborating with competent AI companies, we can foster outstanding talents.' He expressed confidence in creating a broad AI network through collaboration between Sungkyunkwan University, Kyungpook National University, Seoul-based AI companies, and ICT companies in Daegu-Kyungpook."
