Professor Byoung-kuk Lee of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering selected as Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

-Recognized as a member in the top 0.1% in seven evaluations, including individual research achievements

-Research on chargers for electric vehicle batteries and battery state management systems



Professor Byoung-kuk Lee of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the Information and Communication Engineering has been selected as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).


The IEEE is the most prestigious international association in the fields of electrical, electronic, computer, and communication engineering, boasting over 400,000 members from around 160 countries. The highest grade of IEEE membership, Fellow, is awarded to individuals who have outstanding personal research achievements, technological accomplishments, and overall career contributions, assessed through seven evaluation criteria, placing them in the top 0.1% of members.


Professor Byoung-kuk Lee has been recognized for his contributions to the industrialization of wireless and wired charging systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS) for electric vehicle batteries, based on his research.


Professor Lee is actively engaged in collaborative research with various large and small to medium-sized enterprises in the field of electric vehicle charging. He operates joint research labs with Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai KEFICO Target Lab, focusing particularly on advancements in electric vehicle charging technology.
