Prof. Seung Hee PARK Received Best Paper Award at IWSHM 2016.10.17

□ Prof. Seung Hee PARK of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental System Engineering received the Best Paper Award at the 1st International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring for Railway Systems (IWSHM) with the research subject of: “Automated local damage detection for railway NDE using a multichannel MFL sensor”.

□ The 1st International Workshop of Structural Health Monitoring for Railway Systems (IWSHM) was co-organized by Stanford University (USA) and the CPRC Company (China) where many researchers around the world including USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Spain, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong participated, by giving presentations on recent studies regarding construction monitoring and nondestructive inspection technology of railway systems. At the workshop, about 130 researches were introduced.

□ Prof. Seung Hee PARK has been a professor of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental System Engineering since 2009. He has received many awards including 2010 KSCE Award, 2013 BIM Symposium Best Award, and 2016 Paper Prize by Computational Structural Engineering Institute of Korea, by leading researches on construction monitoring, nondestructive inspection, and maintenance technology. Now he is working in R&D projects for the Minstry of Public Safety and Security, Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and more.
