Our university organized the 2023 Kingo Walkathon in Jeju from July 4th to July 11th, lasting for 7 nights and 8 days. This event, with the participation of over 100 students, followed a course that involved walking approximately 170km around Jeju Island, starting from Jeju City and passing through Gimnyeong, Pyeongdae Port, Seongsan, Seogwipo, and Marado Island.

On the 6th day, the third day of the expedition, President Ji-beom Yoo, along with other university officials, joined the participants to encourage them on their journey from Kimnyeong to Seongsan, walking over 30km.

President Ji-beom Yoo had lunch with the students at Pyeongdae Port and praised them, saying, "I am proud of the students who cultivate humor even in the heat. Through this meaningful event of overcoming oneself, I hope you will grow in magnificence and embark on bold challenges for the future."

Jun-beom Cho, the president of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus Student Council, who organized the event, stated, "I hope this event will be a time for students to step out of the campus, make new friends, walk through the beautiful land of Korea together, and enhance their physical fitness. It's a time to blow away the accumulated academic and job-related stress of the semester and recharge."

In addition to the expedition, the participating students of the 2023 SKKU Kingo Walkathon will also have various programs for reconciliation and exchange prepared by the Student Council, as well as opportunities to interact with alumni from Jeju. They are scheduled to return to Seoul on July 11th (Tuesday).
