SKKU, Ranks 2nd in the Top 1% Most Cited Articles Among Korean Universities


- National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) released its analysis of the Impact Factor (IF) of the Korean Citation Index (KCI) for the 2008-2018

- The Korean universities of the top 1% of the most cited articles: 1st–Seoul National University, 2nd–SKKU, 3rd–Korea University


SKKU announced that our university ranked second among the Korean universities of the top 1% of the most cited articles according to the analysis of the Impact Factor (IF) of the Korean Citation Index (KCI) for the 2008-2018 released by the NRF.


The NRF reviewed approximately 150,000 of the top 1% most cited articles among SCI-grade journals that were published in the past 11 years. The results demonstrate Korea ranked fifteen of the top 1% of the global most cited articles.


SKKU presented its excellence in research by holding 557 the top 1% of most cited articles in total and being ranked second. In details, SKKU holds 103 of the top 0.1%, 24 of the top 0.01% of the most cited articles.
