College of Sports Science, Signed MOU with GA Korea

The College of Sports Science (Dean. Kyung-Ro Chang)and GA Korea (CEO Yong-Sung Lee) signed ‘MOU of Industry-University Collaboration between College of Sports Science – GA Korea” on December 4 (Fri)2020. 

 

The main content of the agreement is to expandopportunities for fostering sports professionals through practical-oriented education, exchange of human resources, and mutual cooperation for the development of the Korean sports industry.

 

At the agreement ceremony, Sungkyunkwan University President Dong-Ryeol Shin, College of Sports Science Dean Kyung-Ro Chang, Academic Affairs and Procurement Division Vice-President Do-Nyun Kim, Department of Sports Science Chair Gil-Ho Eom, GA Korea President Dong-Joon Lee, etc. attended. 

 

In addition to the collaboration with GA Korea, College of Sports Science contributes to the development of the sports industry through industry-university cooperation agreements with various organizations in the sports industry, including KTsports, Golf Zone, CJ sports, Pyeongtaek citizen’s soccer team, and the Korean Professional Golf Association.

 

In particular, they plan to establish a program to foster professionals that can contribute to the development of the golfindustry among the sports industry sector. 

 

Dean of the college, Kyung-Ro Chang said, “We’ve set the stage for fostering talents that will contribute to the development of the domestic golf industry through industry-university collaboration by sharing GA Korea’s experience in operating the golf industryand College of Sports Science’s experience in fostering talents.” 

 

The GA Korea is a global company that operates golf-related facilities and businesses in Korea and abroad, and plays animportant role in the development of the domestic golf industry. GA Korea President Dong-Joon Lee said, “Through the industry-university collaboration with SKKU will help improve the golf industry to the next level” and he also said that GA Korea would support the project to foster golf professionals in the future.
